CPA firms award SAS 70 Level I and II certification after a company has complied with SAS 70 standards for accuracy, privacy, and security. The CPA firm reviews internal controls, internal auditing procedures, data security, and the security systems of the physical building. Level I identifies areas that need improvement to bring the company’s present standards up to SAS 70 requirements. Level II includes a return visit by the CPA auditing team to verify that these improvements have been implemented and are being maintained. Level II certification is the true stamp of approval!!
